Plan for your family, property and business in Tennessee
A new estate plan, a death in the family and the formation of a business call for different conversations. Start with the decision in front of you. Dale Law Group, PLLC is based in Murfreesboro; contact the firm to discuss representation and meeting arrangements for your Tennessee community.
Choose the work you need help with
Planning while you are alive starts with your wishes, the people who may act for you, and the way your property is owned. A will, trust, financial power of attorney and health care document address different parts of that plan. Bring existing documents so the discussion begins with what you already have.
After a death, the first task is to identify the documents and assets involved. Trust administration and court probate are different processes. A Tennessee property belonging to someone who lived elsewhere raises a separate set of questions; do not assume a mailing address alone determines the correct process.
For a new business, discuss the proposed owners, their roles, the business activity and existing agreements before choosing an entity or filing documents. The firm’s business formation service is distinct from its estate-planning work.
Why the county belongs in the conversation
Court filings and property records are handled through particular offices. Rutherford County provides estate-and-will information through its County Clerk and identifies a role for its General Sessions probate judge. Williamson County’s court-system guide directs probate matters to Chancery Court. Davidson County has its own Probate Court Clerk. A single statewide filing checklist should not be assumed to fit each office.
If a community crosses a county boundary, record the actual residence and the county containing the property. The city name is a way to browse this directory; it is not a legal-venue determination.
Prepare a useful first conversation
- Describe whether you are planning ahead, handling a death, administering a trust or forming a business.
- List the Tennessee counties connected to the person and real estate involved.
- Have your existing documents available, but keep confidential attachments out of an initial inquiry.
- Ask the firm to confirm meeting arrangements, scope and fees before representation begins.
An office address is different from a service area
The firm’s office is at 2615 Medical Center Parkway, Suite 1560, Murfreesboro, TN 37129. A Tennessee service-area page does not identify another physical office. Start with a brief, non-confidential inquiry so the firm can discuss your circumstances and the next step.
